Swift Cottage is in Boulby, near Staithes. It’s about a six minute drive from the coast. You're right on the edge of the North York Moors.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one of which is a shower room downstairs. It’s a four star property, so it’s comfortable and well-equipped.
The garden is large. There’s an orchard with some free range chickens, and a big koi pond. If you’ve got kids, you’ll probably find them out there watching the fish.
Inside, the kitchen has a big farmhouse table. The lounge has a large corner sofa facing the TV. The stairs are standard cottage stairs. They’re fine, but they turn a corner and are a bit steep in parts.
You can bring up to two dogs. There’s parking on the drive, and we’ve put in an electric vehicle charger.
Staithes village is close. It’s a proper old fishing village with narrow streets and a small harbour. The Cleveland Way footpath runs through there, so you can walk along the coast to places like Runswick Bay or Saltburn. Whitby is about a twenty minute drive away.
For more information on the area, the North York Moors National Park site is useful. The Cleveland Way page has walking route details.
Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot available, WiFi, and a washing machine.
