Jorvik Villas is three townhouses knocked together, right in the middle of York. Sleeps up to fourteen, across six floors if you count all the levels. There are six bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, so nobody has to queue.
It's a five-star rating, which means it's well kitted out and maintained. There's a hot tub and a sauna in the courtyard out the back. The courtyard is enclosed and private.
The kitchen is a proper size for a big group, with a range cooker and a big dining table. The stairs are typical for a York townhouse, so they're a bit steep and winding in parts. Something to be aware of.
You're about a five-minute walk from the City Walls and the centre. From the door, you can walk to the Minster, the Shambles, the Jorvik Centre, and all the museums. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants close by.
For a day out, the National Trust has a few properties nearby, like Beningbrough Hall. The Yorkshire visitor site is good for planning further trips. The North York Moors and the coast are about an hour's drive.
Facilities: all the basics are included, like bedding, towels, WiFi, and washing machine. Parking is on-street with permits, which we provide. Up to two well-behaved dogs are allowed.
