Owl Cottage
Owl Cottage is one of five cottages around a courtyard at Holtby Grange, near York. It’s down a private drive and looks out over fields.
It’s for two people. One bedroom with a kingsize bed, and one big wet room with a shower you can walk into. It’s got a 5 Star rating, which means it’s well finished. The kitchen has good appliances and granite counters. There’s a wood burner in the main room.
The garden is shared with the other cottages. It’s enclosed, with a bit of woodland, some paths, a summerhouse and a pond. The pond has a fence around it. You can park two cars.
We take dogs, up to two. There’s an enclosed paddock for them to run in and an outside shower to clean them off.
York is about five miles away. You can be in the city centre quickly for the Minster, the Railway Museum, or the shops and restaurants. The local pub is a mile away, and it serves food.
For a day out, you can get to Harrogate in under 40 minutes, or to the coast at Scarborough in about an hour. The North York Moors aren’t much further.
Things here include a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV, and bedding and towels. There’s a cot and highchair if you need them.
