Applegate Cottage is a semi-detached barn conversion. It's one of five cottages set around a courtyard at Holtby Grange, and the owner lives on site. It's down a long private drive, surrounded by fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. It has a 5 Star rating. You get a lot of space. The main room is open plan, with high ceilings and a wood burner. The kitchen has granite worktops and good appliances. Both bedrooms are en-suite.
The garden is large and enclosed, but it's shared between the cottages. There's a summerhouse and some seating. There's also a central pond, which has a fence around it.
You are welcome to bring two dogs. There's an enclosed paddock for them to run in and an outside dog shower.
York city centre is about five miles away. You've got the Minster, the Railway Museum, the Jorvik Viking Centre. Plenty of shops and restaurants too. The local pub is about a mile away. The nearest shop is two miles.
Further out, you've got Harrogate about twenty miles away, Thirsk about thirty, and Scarborough on the coast is just over forty.
Facilities: there's parking on site, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are available if you need them.
