The Old Coach House is in York. It's an old stable block that's been converted. It's listed, so there are some original features like beams. It's at the bottom of a quiet garden, about a fifteen minute walk from the centre. It feels quite separate.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable.
The kitchen used to be a stable. There's an old hay basket still up on the wall. It's a proper kitchen now though, with a dishwasher.
There's a shop about 200 yards away, and a couple of pubs and a restaurant are even closer. They're handy.
Being in York, you can walk to most things. The Minster, the walls, the Jorvik Centre, the Railway Museum. You don't really need the car. The road links are good if you do want to drive out, though. The North York Moors are about half an hour away. The coast at Scarborough or Filey is about an hour.
For facilities: there's parking right by the cottage, a washing machine, WiFi, a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. There's a stairgate. You can bring up to two dogs.
Useful links if you're planning: York Minster, English Heritage - York City Walls, and North York Moors National Park.
