Cozy Cottage is near York, about five miles from the centre. It's a barn conversion, one of five cottages around a courtyard. You get your own front door onto that courtyard.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and finished to a high standard. Everything is on the ground floor, so no stairs.
The main room is open plan. There's a kitchen with a Belfast sink and a dishwasher, then the living area with a wood burner. The bedroom has a king-size bed that can be made into two singles if you need it.
Outside, there's a large enclosed garden shared between all the cottages. It's got a summerhouse and paths. There's a central pond, which is fenced off. You can park two cars. There's also bike storage.
We take dogs, up to two. There's an enclosed paddock for them to run in and an outdoor dog shower.
The local shop is two miles away. The nearest pub is a mile, and there's a restaurant four miles off.
York is the main draw. You can drive in or get a bus from the village. Everything is there: the Minster, the Railway Museum, the Shambles. Visit York has all the details. For a day out, Harrogate is about half an hour's drive. The coast at Scarborough is under an hour.
Included in the price: bedding, towels, WiFi, and the electricity for the heating and the wood burner. There's a washing machine, a cot, and a highchair if you need them.
If you're coming with a bigger group, you can book this cottage with the others here to sleep up to sixteen.
