Ousebank House
Ousebank House is a townhouse in York. It's modern, so it's not a wonky old cottage. It's two floors. Sleeps four, two bedrooms. One has a double bed, the other has twins. There's one bathroom with a shower over the bath.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's been renovated, so everything feels fresh and clean. There's a proper kitchen if you want to cook, and a living room with a large TV.
The best thing is the location. You're about two minutes' walk from the River Ouse. You can step out the door and be straight on the path for a walk along the river. It's very handy.
Out the back there's a small private patio, Indian stone. It gets the sun in the afternoon. A spot to sit outside if the weather's good.
You're about a 10 or 15 minute walk from the centre of York. The Minster, the Shambles, the city walls. All that is easily walkable. There's on-site parking for one car, which is a real plus in York.
Inside, there's a washing machine, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
For planning days out, the Visit York site is useful. The National Trust has lots of properties nearby, like Beningbrough Hall, which is about a 20 minute drive away.
