Blacksmith's Cottage
This is Blacksmith's Cottage. It's in Askham Bryan, a small village about five miles outside York.
It's a three bedroom place that sleeps five. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 3 Star rating, so everything is clean and functional rather than luxurious.
The main thing is the garden. It's fully enclosed, which is good if you've got kids or a dog. It's mostly lawn with a patio area. You can bring one pet.
Inside, the living room has patio doors that open straight into the garden. The kitchen is just through the archway. It's all fairly open plan. The stairs are standard cottage stairs, so watch your head.
You're in a quiet village but York is only a ten or fifteen minute drive away. There's a local pub you can walk to. We've got wifi, parking on the drive, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included.
From here, you can easily get into York. The Minster and the National Railway Museum are the big draws. The North York Moors are about half an hour's drive northeast if you want proper countryside.
