The Bishops Court
The Bishops Court is in York, just inside the city walls. It's a first-floor flat in a small courtyard. Going straight into the centre takes about five minutes on foot.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it feels a bit nicer than just the basics.
You're genuinely in the middle of things here. The Minster is down the road. The Shambles, all the shops and restaurants, it's all a short walk. It can be busy, which is good if you want that, but it's not a remote quiet spot.
The flat has its own parking space in the courtyard. That's a real plus in this part of York.
There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need one.
For things to do, you won't need the car for the main attractions. The Railway Museum, Jorvik, the Castle Museum, you can walk to them all. The racecourse and the outlet shopping are a short drive away.
If you want a day out further afield, you can get to the North York Moors or the Yorkshire Dales in under an hour.
