The Loft At St John's
The Loft at St John's is in York, on the second floor of a building in The Groves. It's a new build, so it's a modern apartment rather than an old cottage.
It sleeps seven, in three bedrooms. There’s an ensuite shower room off the main bedroom and a family bathroom. It has a 5 Star rating. It’s bright and well-finished.
The living area is open-plan and has doors out to a small balcony. You can see the spires of the Minster from there. The kitchen has a large island with a breakfast bar.
The stairs up to it are internal but fine. There’s on-site parking and an electric vehicle charger.
Location-wise, you’re a couple of minutes' walk from the city walls at Monk Bar. From there, you’re right in the centre. The Shambles, the Minster, the Jorvik Centre, it’s all a short walk. The Groves itself has a few local shops, pubs, and takeaways.
If you want to go further out, the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales are both about a 40-minute drive. Castle Howard is about 30 minutes by car.
For facilities: it has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot if you need it. There's bicycle storage. No pets.
