Jorvik- Woodsmill Quay
This place is Jorvik - Woodsmill Quay. It's a converted mill right on the River Ouse in York. You're on the south bank. The main thing is the view from the living room, you're looking straight out over the river. You can watch the boats go by.
It sleeps three people. Two bedrooms, and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 5 Star rating. It's comfortable, everything works. It's clean and well looked after.
You're about a five minute walk from the centre of York. You can leave the car and just go. There's a shop about fifty yards away. The quay outside is still working, so you might see a boat unloading. It's not noisy, but it's part of the character.
The property was decorated for Christmas when we took it on. We've kept that, so it will have a tree and decorations if you're staying over the festive season.
Inside, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Parking is on site, which is important in York. There's space for bicycles. We provide all the bedding and towels.
For things to do, you're right there in the city. The Minster, the Shambles, the Railway Museum, they're all a short walk. If you drive, the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales are within half an hour. The coast at Scarborough or Whitby is about an hour.
