Baille Hill House

Baille Hill House is in York. It's a tall, narrow townhouse right next to the old city walls. You can see them from some of the windows. It's about a five minute walk into the centre.

It sleeps ten people. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The stairs are fairly typical for a house like this.

The kitchen and dining area is on the ground floor at the back. Big doors let in a lot of light. The dining table fits everyone. There's a kingsize bedroom and a shower room on that floor too.

The main living room is on the first floor. It has doors out to a small balcony with a couple of chairs. There are two more bedrooms and another shower room on that level.

Up on the second floor are the last two bedrooms. One is a twin, the other has a double and a single bed. The ceilings are sloped up there, which is just how these old houses are. The main bathroom is on that floor as well.

You can park two cars off the street at the back, which is very useful in this part of York.

There's a shop about 200 yards away, and a pub even closer. Bishy Road is just round the corner and has some good independent shops and places to eat.

From the house, you're basically already on the city walls for a walk. York Minster, the Jorvik Centre, Clifford's Tower, and the National Railway Museum are all a short walk away.

For facilities, it has the things you'd expect: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need one. The entrance is step-free. Sorry, no pets.
