The Nest
The Nest is in York, on Tadcaster Road. It's an apartment above garages. I live in the main house opposite, if you need anything.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It got its 4 Star rating after a refurbishment a few years back, so it's modern and clean inside.
The location is the main thing here. You're directly opposite The Knavesmire, which is the racecourse. It's a huge open space for walks. The city centre is about a 20 minute walk. You really don't need a car. There are bus stops just outside and cycle paths all along the main road.
The flat is up one flight of stairs. The living area is all open plan. The kitchen's fine, it's got a dishwasher. There's a small patio area you share, it gets the sun in the late afternoon.
The bedrooms are in the roof, so they have Velux windows. They're bright. One double, one twin. We've got bike storage if you bring them.
There's a pub about five minutes walk away that does food. The local shop is a bit further.
For things to do, you're right by the racecourse. York Minster, the Shambles, the Railway Museum, all that is in the city centre. If you're driving, the coast at Scarborough or Filey is about an hour. The North York Moors are a bit further.
Facilities wise: bedding and towels are included, there's a TV, parking on the drive, and a BBQ on the patio.
