Ay Come Inn is a one bedroom modern townhouse. It's in Acomb, which is separate from York centre but on a main bus route so you can get into the city easily.
It sleeps two, has one bathroom with a walk-in shower, and takes one pet. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been renovated recently so everything feels new and clean.
The living area is one open space with the kitchen and a seating area. It's a bright, simple space. The kitchen has good appliances if you want to cook.
Upstairs is a double bedroom and the bathroom. The staircase is a spiral one, which looks neat but is a bit tight. You wouldn't want to be carrying a big suitcase up it.
Out the back there's a small, enclosed patio with some chairs. It's a sunny spot for a coffee in the morning.
Acomb has its own shops and pubs if you don't want to go into York. Getting into York is straightforward; it's about two miles so you can drive, or the bus stop is close by.
Once you're in York, the main things are all walkable: the Minster, the Shambles, the railway museum. There are a lot of historical sites and museums if that's your thing. The City of York Council site for Clifford's Tower and the English Heritage site for the Cold War Bunker are good for official information.
Facilities wise, you've got on-site parking, WiFi, a TV, and both heating and towels are included. It says it's wheelchair accessible to get in, but the main toilet is upstairs and the stairs are the spiral ones, so bear that in mind.
