It's called Oxtoby's Upstairs and it's in York, right by the city walls. It's the top two floors of a townhouse. You get your own entrance down a little lane, then you go up the stairs to the main bit.
It sleeps four. Two double bedrooms and one bathroom, all on the top floor. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's nicely done, not just basic.
It faces the front, so from the living room and dining room you can see the walls and the Minster in the distance. The kitchen is compact but it's got everything you need, including a dishwasher. There's a small patio area out the back if you want some air.
The location is the main thing. You're a minute's walk from a gate in the walls. The shop is about five minutes away, the pub is just round the corner, and there are more restaurants than you could try in a week on foot.
You're close to everything. The Minster, the Shambles, the JORVIK Viking Centre, it's all a short walk. For a different view, you can walk the walls themselves or go on a boat on the river. The National Railway Museum is about twenty minutes on foot.
If you want to drive out, Castle Howard is about half an hour away. The North York Moors are a bit further, maybe forty-five minutes.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, parking for one car is included on site. All bedding and towels are provided. No pets, sorry.
