The Station House

The Station House is in Upper Poppleton. It's right by the level crossing for the York to Harrogate railway line. So you'll see and hear the trains, a few times an hour. It's a semi-detached house.

It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's done up to a very high standard. Everything is new and clean. The main staircase is an original feature and quite grand.

There's a small, enclosed courtyard out the back with a table and chairs. Parking is at the front for one car, and you can usually find another space on the road.

The village has what you need. There's a shop and a couple of pubs that do food about five minutes' walk away.

Getting into York is easy. The train goes from the station right next door and takes about five minutes. There's also a Park and Ride a minute's drive away, and a bus stop down the road. York itself is three miles, so you're in the middle of it all quickly but you get to come back to a quiet village.

If you want to drive out, places like Beningbrough Hall or Castle Howard are within half an hour. Harrogate is about twenty minutes away. The coast, like Scarborough, is about an hour's drive.

What's here: all bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and Wi-Fi. There's a woodburning stove for colder nights. We can provide a highchair.
