Oxtoby's Downstairs is a one-bedroom apartment on the ground floor of a house.
The house is very old. It's about three hundred years old. It's right opposite the city walls. You get a good view of York Minster from the front room.
It's suitable for two people. There's one bathroom, it's a wet room. You have your own patio area out the back through the bedroom doors.
The kitchen is galley style, compact. It has what you need. Velux windows let in a bit of light.
Location is the main thing. You're a very short walk from everything in the city centre. There's a pub about a hundred yards away. Shops and restaurants are a couple of minutes' walk.
The apartment has a 4 Star rating. It's a comfortable base, well-equipped, good for a city break.
You can walk on the city walls from here. The river is close by if you fancy a boat trip. York’s Chocolate Story and the National Railway Museum are both walkable.
A bit further out, within half an hour's drive, you've got places like Castle Howard. It's a large stately home with gardens. The Yorkshire Air Museum and Eden Camp are also in that direction.
Included in the price: all bedding and towels, WiFi, electricity, and use of the washing machine. There is no parking with the property, but there are public car parks nearby.
