Cottage On The Green is in Acomb, York. It looks out onto the village green. It's a brick terrace house, and the downstairs opens directly onto the pavement.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. The stairs are pretty steep, it's that sort of cottage. The garden is a walled courtyard out the back. It's enclosed, which is good if you've got dogs or kids.
The place has a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean, warm and has what you need, but it's not a show home. There's a wood burner in the front room. We leave a bit of wood to get you started.
There's a shop about five minutes walk away, and a couple of pubs even closer. The bus stop into York centre is on the green. The buses are regular and it takes about 15 minutes, which is easier than driving in and parking.
York itself is well under a 30 minute drive. You've got the Minster, the walls, the Railway Museum, the lot. The Clifford's Tower is English Heritage if you're a member.
If you want to get out of the city, the North York Moors are about a 40 minute drive. The coast at Scarborough or Whitby is about an hour. Castle Howard is maybe half an hour away.
For facilities, it's all there: Wifi, TV, washing machine, bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking for one car on the street directly outside.
