The Granary is one of five cottages around a yard at Holby Grange. It's a barn conversion. The owner lives on site, up the drive. You'll see them about.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms are downstairs, one super kingsize and one twin. There's a shower room downstairs too. The main living space is upstairs. That's the open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area. It has sloping ceilings and velux windows, so it's bright. There's a Juliet balcony. The kitchen has granite worktops and a Belfast sink. The third bedroom, a kingsize, is also upstairs, along with the main shower room.
The stairs are a bit steep, being part of an old barn.
Outside, there's a large enclosed garden shared between all the cottages. It has paths, a wooded bit, a summerhouse and a central pond. The pond is fenced off. The courtyard has a koi pond.
It's on a private drive off a quiet lane, near the village of Holtby. The views from the windows are over fields. You can walk to a pub in about twenty minutes. A shop is two miles away.
York city centre is five miles. That's about a fifteen minute drive. You've got the Minster, the National Railway Museum, the Jorvik Centre, and all the shops and restaurants there. Good for a day out.
Further afield, within about forty-five minutes, you can get to Harrogate, Thirsk, or the coast at Scarborough.
For facilities, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if needed. Parking is right there. No pets.
If you're planning trips, these sites are useful: York Minster, National Railway Museum, and North York Moors National Park.
