Askham House is in Foxwood, on the outskirts of York. It's a detached house. It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One of the bedrooms has its own en-suite. It's got a 4 Star rating, which I think is fair. It's comfortable.
It's a good size inside. There's a wood burner in the living room, which works well. The kitchen has what you need. The conservatory is where you eat. It’s light. The garden is enclosed, with a patio and some furniture. It's quiet out there.
There's parking on the drive for two cars. You've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
The main thing is the location. You're about two miles from York city centre. There's a bus stop practically outside that goes straight into town. It's handy if you don't want to drive and park. In York itself, you've got the Minster, the Shambles, the walls, and all the museums. Good for a full day out.
If you want to drive out, it's about twenty minutes to the Yorkshire Wolds for walking or cycling. The North York Moors are maybe forty minutes away. You can get to the coast at Filey in under an hour.
