George Street Two
This is George Street Two. It's a first floor apartment in a tall, old townhouse right in the centre of York, inside the city walls. The location is the main thing. You can walk to the Minster in about ten minutes.
It sleeps six, but that's with using the sofa bed in the living room. There are two proper bedrooms, both with king size beds, and two bathrooms. One has a walk-in shower, the other has a separate bath and shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well-finished and comfortable.
The kitchen is separate from the living room, which I prefer. It has a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's a small patio area outside the back door if you want some air.
You're on Walmgate, so there are cafes and shops right outside. It's a busy city street, so you will hear some noise. The front windows are those big, period ones, which is nice, but the frames are old so you might feel a bit of a draught in winter.
For things to do, you're right in the middle of it. The York Castle Museum is close, and the Minster is obviously a walk away. The National Railway Museum is about 15 minutes on foot. If you drive out, the North York Moors are about half an hour away.
The facilities list is accurate. It has WiFi, a smart TV, and all bedding and towels are included. No pets. There's no private parking, but there are several car parks within a few minutes' walk.
