It's called 1 Monkbar Mews. It's an apartment in a mews, one of nine in the row. Brick built. It's right next to the city walls, basically you can touch them.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms on the ground floor, two bathrooms. One bathroom is attached to the main bedroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which just means everything is new and works properly.
The living area is upstairs. Big windows and bi-fold doors that open right up. You get a proper view of the old walls from there. It's a bright space.
You're in the centre. Monk Bar gate is a few steps away. York Minster is about a five minute walk. The Shambles, Jorvik, all of that is on your doorstep. You don't really need a car.
There's on-site parking for one car, which is a bonus here. The kitchen has a dishwasher and there's a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. WiFi and TV are there. No pets, sorry.
If you want a break from the city, the Museum Gardens are nice. For a bigger walk, the York walls are right there to follow. You can drive out to the North York Moors in about half an hour.
