The Lodge
The Lodge is just outside York city centre. It's a detached house. You're right next to the racecourse, so you'll see that from the garden.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one of them is en-suite to the main bedroom. It's a 5 Star property, which means it's well-equipped and finished to a high standard. Everything is new.
The garden is enclosed. It's got a lawn, a patio, a BBQ and a pizza oven. There's off-road parking for a couple of cars.
Inside, it's all on one level apart from a couple of steps between rooms. The kitchen is modern and has a dishwasher. There's a washing machine too. Underfloor heating in the bathroom. Bedding and towels are included.
One well-behaved dog is welcome.
York centre is about a 20 minute walk, or a few minutes in the car. You've got the Minster, the Shambles, the city walls, all of it. The Jorvik Viking Centre and the National Railway Museum are popular. The racecourse is literally next door if there's a meeting on.
Further out, within about half an hour's drive, you can get to the Yorkshire coast like Filey, or the North York Moors. Castle Howard is about a 20 minute drive. For walking, the Howardian Hills are close by.
