Spencer House
Spencer House is on Nunnery Lane in York. It’s a tall terraced house, about a ten minute walk from the Minster. You get the little courtyard garden at the back to yourselves.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms over three floors, one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s nicely done, clean and comfortable. The stairs are standard for a house like this, so they’re a bit steep.
The kitchen has what you’d need. There’s a dishwasher and a washing machine. The bathroom has a bath and a separate walk-in shower. Bedding and towels are included. There’s parking for one car on the street with a permit we provide, and there’s an electric vehicle charger.
You’re just off Bishopthorpe Road, which people call Bishy Road. It’s got good cafes, a butcher, a greengrocer, that sort of thing. There’s a pub about half a mile away.
From the house, you can walk to the city walls, the Minster, the Shambles, and the Railway Museum. The Castle Museum and Jorvik Viking Centre are close too. Clifford’s Tower is about a fifteen minute walk.
If you fancy a drive, the North York Moors are about half an hour away. The coast at Scarborough or Filey is about forty-five minutes.
We accept up to three well-behaved dogs. There’s a highchair and a cot if you need them. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but please note the bedrooms are on the upper floors.
