Lucy's Lodge is an apartment on Bishopthorpe Road. That's a main road into York, about a ten minute walk from the centre. It's busy and has lots of shops, cafes and pubs.
It sleeps four, but there's only one proper bedroom with a kingsize bed. The sofa in the living room pulls out into a bed for two more people. There's one bathroom with a bath and a separate shower.
The place has been done up recently so everything is new. It's a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. The bed has a walk-in wardrobe next to it.
Parking is on-site, which is useful in York. Bedding and towels are provided.
From there you can walk to everything in the city centre: the Minster, the Shambles, the museum, the lot. For walks further out, you've got the city walls and the river paths.
If you drive, the North York Moors are about half an hour away. The coast at places like Filey or Scarborough is under an hour. The North York Moors National Park website has good information if you're planning trips.
