You're right on Fossgate, which is busy with restaurants. Good if you want to step out and find food. Might hear some street noise in the evenings. The apartment is up a flight of stairs from the main secure entrance, and then another set to the bedrooms. Just so you know.
Parking is on site, which is useful for York. You're a few minutes' walk from the Shambles, the Minster, and the river.
For trips further out, the North York Moors are about half an hour's drive north. National Trust Yorkshire Coast properties like Bempton Cliffs are within 45 minutes if you want coastline.
