107 Nunnery

This is 107 Nunnery, in York. It's a tall, skinny house just off Bishopthorpe Road, which everyone calls Bishy Road. The street's got a nice atmosphere, with a few shops and cafes.

You go in on the ground floor, which is one open room with sofas, a dining table, and the kitchen. There's a wood burner. One flight down is the cinema and games room, with a big TV and a table football table. It’s a good space if the weather isn't great.

The stairs are quite steep, it's that sort of house. On the next floor up, there's a bedroom with a king-size bed and a single bedroom, plus the family bathroom. That's got a deep bath and a separate shower. Up another flight is the attic bedroom, which has a double bed that can be two singles if you ask. It can sometimes fit an extra bed for a sixth person, but there's a charge for that.

Out the back is a small, enclosed courtyard. It gets the sun in the afternoon. You can put bikes in the storage shed.

You can walk into the centre of York in about ten minutes. The Minster, the Shambles, the Railway Museum, and Clifford's Tower are all close. The Clifford's Tower site is English Heritage. Jorvik and the Castle Museum are very popular, so it's worth booking ahead.

The house has a 4 Star rating. It's got the things you'd need, like a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's an electric vehicle charger on the street. You can bring up to three pets. We also have a cot and a highchair if you need them.

If you're looking for walks or days out further afield, the North York Moors and the coast at Whitby or Scarborough are about an hour's drive.
