Fishergate
Fishergate is a townhouse in York. It's on Fishergate, obviously, about two minutes walk from the main city centre gates. It's a tall, thin, Grade II listed building.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms over two floors. Two of the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. The stairs are the original ones, so they're quite steep and narrow in places. It's got a 4 Star rating.
Downstairs on the ground floor there's an entrance lobby and a utility room with a washing machine and dryer. The main living floor is up the first flight of stairs. That's got the kitchen, living room, and two of the bedrooms. The kitchen has a dishwasher. The top floor is just the master bedroom with its ensuite.
You're right on the city walls. Fishergate Postern Tower is literally next door if you fancy a look. It's a two minute walk to the Castle Museum and Clifford's Tower. The Shambles, Jorvik, York Minster, it's all a short walk from there.
Bishopthorpe Road is close by. It's got a lot of independent shops and places to eat. York Racecourse is just over a mile away if that's your thing.
Facilities are straightforward: WiFi, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer. Bedding and towels are included. There's no parking with the property, but there's a multi-storey car park about a five minute walk away. No pets.
