Heworth Villa is in Heworth, York. It's a semi-detached house in a quiet, leafy suburb. The city centre is about a ten minute walk away.
It sleeps five people in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a bath and a shower over it. It's got a 4 Star rating. The interior is Arts and Crafts style, so there's original wood panelling in the hall and nice stained glass around the front door.
The living room is at the back of the house and leads out to the garden. The garden is enclosed, with a patio and some seating. The kitchen is fine for cooking in. It has a dishwasher and a washing machine.
Heworth itself has a good local pub, a corner shop, and a few takeaways. Walking into York is easy. You've got all the main things there: York Minster, the National Railway Museum, Jorvik, the Castle Museum, and the city walls. The River Ouse is there for walks or boat trips.
If you drive, you can get to a lot within half an hour. The North York Moors are to the east, and places like Castle Howard are to the north. For walking, the Yorkshire Wolds are about a 25 minute drive away. The coast at Scarborough or Filey is about an hour.
Facilities: All bedding and towels are included. There's parking on the driveway. The house is wheelchair accessible at the entrance, but there are stairs inside. WiFi and TV are provided. No pets allowed.
