The Holgate Hideaway is on Holgate Road in York. It's a terraced cottage, end of the row. You get a walled courtyard out the back with a hot tub.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. One room has a kingsize bed, the other has a small double, so it's a bit tight. The stairs are standard for a house like this.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a TV, Wi-Fi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. All the bedding and towels are provided.
Location is the main thing. It's about a five minute walk to York station. You can walk into the city centre in fifteen minutes, to the Minster. There are shops and pubs on the street itself.
Being in York, you're right there for everything. The Shambles, the city walls, the river. You don't really need a car. The National Railway Museum is just by the station. Clifford's Tower is in the centre.
If you did drive out, it's about half an hour to the North York Moors. The coast at Scarborough is around forty minutes.
The courtyard is enclosed. No pets, sorry. There's on-street parking, which is usually alright but can be busy.
