The Haven is a terrace house on a residential street about fifteen minutes' walk from York Minster. It sleeps ten, but does that with sofa beds, so think of it more as a house for three couples or a family with children who don't mind sharing. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you'd need. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and bedding and towels are provided.
The main thing is the garden. It's fully enclosed and has been done up with an outdoor bar area and a hot tub. There's also an outdoor toilet out there, which is handy. The living room has a large TV and an electric fire.
You're on the edge of the city centre. It's a proper residential street, but you can walk into the middle of York in a quarter of an hour. There's a pub about three minutes away that does food. On-site parking for one car is included, which is a real help in York.
From the house, you can walk to the Minster, the Shambles, the National Railway Museum, and the city walls. For a day out further afield, the North York Moors are about a thirty-minute drive. The coast at Scarborough or Filey is about forty-five minutes.
