This is 3 Monkbar Mews. It's a modern apartment in a brick mews, in the centre of York. You're right next to the old city walls.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms and has three bathrooms, which is handy. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor with their own showers. The main bedroom is upstairs. It's got a 5 Star rating so everything should be in good working order.
The living area is open plan. Big bi-folding doors open onto a view of the walls. It’s a good spot to sit with a drink in the evening. The kitchen is modern and has a dishwasher. There's a washing machine too. Parking is on site, which is a big plus for here.
You walk out the door and Monkbar, one of the old city gateways, is right there. York Minster is a few hundred yards away. You can walk to everything: the Shambles, the Jorvik Centre, the Castle Museum. Walking the city walls starts practically on your doorstep.
If you want a break from the city, you can drive out to the North York Moors pretty easily. It's about half an hour to the edge of the National Park. It's a good contrast.
