Creamery Cottage is in Towthorpe. It's a new-build done up as a cottage, in a quiet residential spot. The lane down to it is private. You can fit four cars on the drive, which is handy.
It sleeps eight. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. There's a double sofa bed in the living room for two extra people. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable.
Inside, it's open plan at the back. The kitchen leads into a utility room with a washing machine, dryer, and a drinks fridge. Off that is a games room with a combined air hockey and pool table. There's a separate dining area and a conservatory with some extra seating. The living room has a gas fire.
It's about five miles, or a 10-15 minute drive, from York centre. There's a bus stop a few minutes' walk away that goes straight into town if you don't want to drive in.
For things to do: York is the main draw, obviously. There's local fishing and a golf course nearby. The coast, like Scarborough or Filey, is within a 30 minute drive. The North York Moors are about the same.
Facilities include WiFi, a dishwasher, bedding and towels, and a patio garden. You can bring two dogs.
