Sea Glass is a detached house about a 15 minute walk from the harbour in Amble. It's newly built, so everything works like it should and it's clean and tidy. You get the whole house and an enclosed garden.
It sleeps six in four bedrooms. There are two with double beds and two with single beds. Two bathrooms, one ensuite with a shower, the other has a bath with a shower over it. It's got a 5 Star rating.
Downstairs is open plan at the back: kitchen, dining area, and doors out to the garden. There's a separate living room at the front with a TV. You get a utility room with a washer dryer, and a downstairs toilet. The garden is big, fully fenced, and gets the sun.
Amble's harbour is nice for a wander. You can get boat trips from there to see the seals and maybe puffins on the Farne Islands. There's a good fish and chip shop, and you can buy prawns straight from the boats. The local pub is about a mile away.
Warkworth Castle is just down the road, maybe a five minute drive. It's a proper ruin, you can walk all through it. The beach there is sandy and long. For a bigger castle, Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about half an hour's drive. That's where they filmed some of the Harry Potter bits.
If you want to walk, you're on the edge of the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Druridge Bay is very close. It's a massive, wild beach. For a longer walk, you can follow the coast path north to Craster or south to Cresswell.
Facilities are all included. WiFi, parking, bedding and towels. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. No pets.
