Olive Cottage
Olive Cottage is in Amble. It's a two bedroom place that sleeps four. It has a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
It's part of a pair of cottages. The garden is enclosed, but it's shared with the next door property. There's a sitting area and a gas BBQ out there you can use.
Inside, it's open plan downstairs with the lounge and dining area. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. The kitchen is through there. Upstairs there's a king size bedroom with a TV, and a twin room with two singles. The bathroom has a double walk-in shower. The floor in there is resin with bottle caps in it, which is a bit different.
You can bring up to two dogs. All bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine and WiFi.
Amble itself is a small coastal town. It's right on the river and the harbour. You can walk along the coast from there. For a bigger beach, Druridge Bay county park is about ten minutes drive south.
Within half an hour you've got a lot. Alnwick Castle and its famous garden are about twenty minutes inland. The beaches and castle at Bamburgh are twenty minutes north. Seahouses is the next village up from there, where you can get boat trips out to the Farne Islands to see the seabirds and seals. The National Trust looks after the islands, so you can check their site for trip details and times.
