The Den is in Longhoughton. It's behind our house, but it's yours when you're in. It looks over the garden. We're about a mile and a half from the beach.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The whole place is on one level and the doors are wide, so it's fine if you use a wheelchair.
You can bring two dogs. There's a patio area outside the front door that's fenced.
In the village, there's a Co-op supermarket a few minutes walk away. There's a coffee shop opposite us, and a dog-friendly pub down the road that does food. The walk to the beach takes about half an hour, or it's a couple of minutes in the car.
You're in a good spot for the coast. Craster is ten minutes south. Alnmouth is ten minutes north. You've got Bamburgh Castle, Seahouses, and Holy Island all within a half hour drive. The Northumberland Coast is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so the walking is fantastic.
Alnwick is about a fifteen minute drive inland. That's where Alnwick Castle and the Alnwick Garden are. The castle was in Harry Potter. The Garden has the treehouse restaurant. There's also Barter Books, which is a big second-hand bookshop in the old train station.
Inside, it's got everything you'd need. WiFi, TV, a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can park right outside.
We also have another cottage next door called Breezes Cottage. You can book both together if you're a bigger group.
