The Lilac is in Burgh le Marsh. It's a small, historic market town, not a village. There's a windmill, a couple of pubs, and a Co-op. The cottage itself is on a small development with a couple of other holiday lets. You get your own enclosed garden.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star property, so it's comfortable and well equipped. The layout is open plan downstairs. It's all on one level except for the bedrooms, so that's good if stairs are a problem. There's parking right outside.
The garden backs onto a fishing lake. It's peaceful. You can fish if you've got a license. The other facilities are what you'd expect: dishwasher, TV, that sort of thing. Bedding is included. We can take one well-behaved dog. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
Skegness is about five miles east. That's where the main beach is, with all the amusements. If you want a quieter bit of coast, Gibraltar Point is a nature reserve about twenty minutes south. It's good for walking and birdwatching.
Inland, the Lincolnshire Wolds are about half an hour's drive. They're good for walking or cycling. Lincoln itself, with the cathedral and castle, is just under an hour away by car.
