Boothby Cottage is in Welton le Marsh. It’s a detached cottage. There’s a stream that runs through the shared grounds, so you might hear water running. The cottage itself has its own enclosed garden.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It’s got a 4 Star rating. The owner leaves bathrobes and slippers, which is a nice touch.
There’s a pub with a restaurant a short walk away. The nearest shop is three miles away in Alford, so you’ll want to drive for groceries.
For the coast, Skegness is about eight miles east. It’s a traditional seaside town with sandy beaches. The Gibraltar Point nature reserve is just south of there.
Alford, Louth, and Spilsby are all market towns within half an hour’s drive. Horncastle, which is known for antiques, is about seven miles away. Lincoln, with the cathedral and castle, is roughly a 40-minute drive west.
The local lanes are good for walking and cycling. Fishing is available locally. There’s a golf course nearby too.
For facilities: it has a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and a BBQ. Bedding and towels are included. There’s on-site parking and an electric vehicle charger. We allow up to two dogs. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate.
