Lizzie's Cottage is in Fordington, out in the Lincolnshire countryside. It's next door to our house, but you get the whole place and garden to yourselves. The view from here is the best part, I think. You can see the Wolds hills rolling out down the valley.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's been kitted out to a high standard. Everything is clean and finished nicely. The main living area is open plan, so it's a good space if you're all together. There's a utility room too, handy for coats and boots.
Outside, there's a private terrace with a glass balustrade so the view isn't blocked, and a hot tub there.
You can walk or cycle right from the door into the Wolds. The local shop is about a mile and a half away, and the nearest pub is two miles by car.
Skegness beach is about 45 minutes east if you fancy the seaside. Closer, the market towns like Louth and Horncastle are good for a browse. Alford's about ten minutes drive. Lincoln is a bit further, maybe 50 minutes, but it's a good day out for the castle and cathedral. The coast and the city are both roughly within an hour's drive.
In terms of what's here: there's a BBQ, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking. All bedding and towels are included. It's a no pets property.
If you're planning walks or days out, the Lincolnshire Wolds website has good information. For the wider area, Visit Lincolnshire is useful.
