Bourne's Homestead Hagworthingham

Bourne's Homestead is a detached house in Hagworthingham, in the Lincolnshire Wolds. It's modern and built in the cottage style. It sits on its own in a big garden, so it's private. You get good views across the fields towards Somersby, which they call Tennyson country.

It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one is a walk-in shower, and the house is all on one level so it's accessible. It has a 5 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable.

The main living space is open plan with a wood burner. Doors open out onto a large patio terrace. The garden is sizeable and fully enclosed. Because it's so rural, there's very little light pollution. On a clear night, you can see a lot of stars.

There's a footpath right by the property that leads you into the village. The local pub is about a ten minute walk that way. It's a proper country walk, so take a torch if you're going back after dark.

For getting out, you're right in the Wolds. You can go straight out the gate and onto footpaths and quiet lanes without seeing a main road. If you want to drive, the coast with its long sandy beaches is about half an hour east. Lincoln is about 40 minutes west. The cathedral is spectacular and the Bailgate area is good for an afternoon.

Local attractions within a reasonable drive include Cadwell Park racing circuit, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at Coningsby, and the town of Woodhall Spa.

The house has all the things you'd expect: parking, wifi, a washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's also a BBQ and a highchair if you need one.
