Poppy Cottage

This is Poppy Cottage in West Ashby. It's in the Lincolnshire Wolds, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The views are really good, over fields and valleys.

It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, all on the ground floor. The living space, kitchen and dining area are all upstairs. That’s so you get the best views from the main rooms. The stairs are fine, just a normal flight.

It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped. There are large TVs with streaming services, a dishwasher, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included. There's parking on the drive.

Outside, there's a garden at the back. The hot tub is under a cover, so you can use it in any weather. The entrance is gated and private.

The village pub is about a five minute walk away. They do food. There's a shop about a mile away in the next village.

For walks, you can start right from the doorstep. The Wolds are good for cycling too. If you drive for ten or fifteen minutes, you can get to Horncastle, which is known for antique shops, or Woodhall Spa. Cadwell Park circuit is close by if you like motor racing.

The coast at places like Skegness or Mablethorpe is about half an hour away. Lincoln is also within a 30 minute drive, for the cathedral and castle. Closer to home, Wolds Wildlife Park is just down the road.

We don't allow pets. The property is set up for families, with a cot, highchair and stairgate available if you need them.
