The Kingfisher
The Kingfisher is a shepherd's hut at Darwood, near Woodhall Spa. It's in the middle of about 22 acres here, so it's quiet. You get your own bit of garden with the hut, and there's parking right by it.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 3 Star rating, which is about right. Everything's included and it's clean, but it's a shepherd's hut, so it's compact. The bed's against one wall.
Inside, it's all one room. There's a wood burner, which is nice in the evenings. There's a kitchen area with what you need. WiFi works, but it can be a bit slow out here because of the location.
You can bring one dog. The area around the hut is fenced, which helps. There's a BBQ you can use.
You can walk or cycle straight from the door. The paths go into the Lincolnshire Wolds. Woodhall Spa is about ten minutes away by car. It's got a few shops, some pubs and cafes, and a golf course. Horncastle is a similar distance.
The coast is about an hour's drive if you want a day at the beach. Lincoln is maybe 40 minutes.
