The Granary
The Granary is a converted barn on our farm in Horsington. It's one of five barns here, set back from the lane in the middle of the fields. You get your own garden space, which is enclosed, so it's safe for a dog.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. That's handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well finished. Underfloor heating throughout, which is good when you come in from a walk.
You're out in the countryside here. The nearest pub for food is in Thimbleby, about three miles away. Horncastle is four miles for shops and antiques. Woodhall Spa is about the same distance, that's where the Kinema in the Woods is, which is a nice old-fashioned cinema.
For a day out, Lincoln is roughly half an hour's drive. The cathedral and castle are worth seeing. Skegness is about the same time in the other direction, if you fancy the seaside.
The area is good for walking and cycling. The Lincolnshire Wolds are right there. If you're interested in the aviation history, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is at Coningsby and the Lincolnshire Aviation Centre at East Kirkby are both within a 30 minute drive.
Facilities: there's parking right outside, WiFi, a TV, and a washing machine. A travel cot and highchair are here if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. We take one well-behaved dog.
