Bailey's Retreat Bardney

Bailey's Retreat is near Bardney, a few miles south of Lincoln. It's a bungalow, so everything's on one level. That makes it easier if stairs are a problem. It's detached, so it's on its own.

It sleeps six in three bedrooms and has two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-fitted. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have kids or a dog, but we don't take pets, sorry.

There's a proper hot tub in the garden. We get it serviced before every guest. Off-road parking is right outside and there's an electric vehicle charger if you need it.

The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you're bringing little ones.

The village has a shop and a pub about half a mile away. The pub does food. You're right on the Viking Way cycle route if you like biking. You can hire bikes and have them delivered.

Lincoln is about a 15 minute drive. The cathedral and castle are up there on the hill. It's a good day out. The Lincolnshire Wolds are close for walks. The coast at Skegness is about 45 minutes away if you fancy the seaside.

For local history, Bardney Abbey is just down the road. And if you're into racing, Market Rasen racecourse isn't far.
