The Potting Shed

The Potting Shed is a small one-bedroom place in a courtyard of converted barns on our farm. It's out the back, near the old farmhouse. Good for two people.

It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well kitted out. Underfloor heating throughout, which is nice in the winter. The kitchen and living area are all one room. The shower room is off the bedroom. The bed is a king size.

It's completely private, with its own enclosed patio area. You're welcome to use the shared lawn as well. There's parking right outside.

We're in Horsington, which is just outside Horncastle. It's very quiet here, just fields. The nearest pub for a meal is in Thimbleby, about three miles away. There's a shop in Woodhall Spa, about four and a half miles.

Horncastle is good for antiques. Woodhall Spa has more shops, cafes, and the Kinema in the Woods cinema. Lincoln is about half an hour's drive west, for the cathedral and castle. Skegness and the coast are the other way, about forty minutes east.

The Lincolnshire Wolds are right here for walking and cycling. There are marked trails. If you're interested in the aviation history, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is at RAF Coningsby and you can see the Lancaster at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre in East Kirkby. Both are within a thirty minute drive.

Facilities: your own patio, parking, WiFi, a cot and highchair if needed, bedding and towels are provided. We allow one well-behaved dog.
