The Potting Shed
The Potting Shed is one of the holiday barns here at Rose Cottage Farm in Horsington. It's just for two people, one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-finished. The underfloor heating is good, especially if you've been out walking.
The barn is open plan downstairs. The patio area is enclosed, so it's secure if you bring a dog. You can park right outside.
Location wise, it's quiet here. The nearest pub is in Thimbleby, about three miles away. For shops, you'd go to Woodhall Spa or Horncastle, both a short drive. Horncastle has antique shops, and Woodhall Spa has the Kinema in the Woods, which is a cinema in a pine forest. It's worth a visit.
Lincoln is about a 40 minute drive west. The cathedral and castle are up on the hill. Skegness and the coast are about 45 minutes east.
If you're interested in the WWII history, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is at RAF Coningsby, and the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre at East Kirkby isn't far. They've got the Lancaster bomber, Just Jane.
For walking, you're on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. It's good cycling country too. We've got bike storage here if you bring yours.
A highchair and cot are here if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. WiFi works fine.
