The Stables
The Stables is a converted barn on Rose Cottage Farm in Horsington. It's just for two people, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well finished.
Inside, it's open plan. The underfloor heating is good, especially if you've been out walking. It's all on one level, so no stairs. The bed is en-suite. There's a shower, not a bath.
Outside, you have your own patio area. Parking is right there. You can bring one dog. We include the bedding and towels. There's wifi.
The farm is quiet. You're in the middle of fields. The nearest decent pub is in Thimbleby, about three miles away. For a shop, you'll need to go to Woodhall Spa, which is about four and a half miles. Woodhall Spa has the Kinema in the Woods, which is a proper old cinema with an organ that comes up before the film.
If you like walking or cycling, the Lincolnshire Wolds are right here. It's an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The paths are good. Horncastle, about five miles away, is known for antique shops.
For a day out, Lincoln is under half an hour's drive. The cathedral and castle are up on the hill. The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is at RAF Coningsby, about twenty minutes away. The coast at Skegness is about forty minutes to the east.
