The Stables
The Stables is on a farm in Horsington, Lincolnshire. It's a one bedroom barn conversion, so it sleeps two people. You get it to yourselves. It's rated 4 Star.
It's open plan downstairs. Underfloor heating, which is nice when you come in. One bathroom with a shower. The bed is a double.
Outside there's a patio with a table and chairs. You can park right outside. We accept one well behaved dog.
The place is rural. The nearest pub for a meal is in Thimbleby, about three miles away. There's a shop a bit further on, about four and a half miles.
You're between Horncastle, which is good for antique shops, and Woodhall Spa. Woodhall Spa has nice tea rooms, restaurants, and the Kinema in the Woods cinema.
For a day out, Lincoln is worth the drive. The cathedral and castle are good. Skegness is the other way if you want a traditional seaside day with a long beach.
The area is good for walking and cycling. The Lincolnshire Wolds are right there. If you're interested in the aviation history, you can see the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at RAF Coningsby or the Lancaster bomber at the Lincolnshire Aviation Centre.
Facilities include WiFi, a cot and highchair if you need them, and all bedding and towels are provided. It's got Christmas decorations if you book over that period.
