The Nuthatch is a shepherd's hut on our land near Woodhall Spa. It sleeps two. There's one room, with a small kitchen area and a bathroom at the end. It's got a wood burner for heat. You have your own bit of garden outside with a table and chairs, and a barbecue.
It's a 3 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and has what you need, but it's compact. Think of it as nice camping. The bed is a fixed double. The hot water comes from an electric shower. There's Wi-Fi, but the signal can be a bit patchy because of the location.
You're on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. You can walk or cycle straight from the hut into the lanes and tracks. It's very quiet. The town of Woodhall Spa is about ten minutes away by car. It has a few shops, places to eat, and the golf course. Horncastle is a bit further, maybe fifteen minutes.
If you want a big day out, Lincoln is about a forty minute drive. The coast, like Skegness, is roughly an hour. It's more of a base for countryside than for towns.
What's here: all your bedding and towels are included. There's parking right next to the hut. No pets, I'm afraid. You can book the other hut we have here at the same time if you're a group of four.
For information on the area, the Lincolnshire Wolds website is good for walks. The National Trust has a few properties nearby like Gunby Hall.
