The Nuthatch is a shepherd's hut on our land at Darwood. It's on a 15th century site. We've got 22 acres here, on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. The area's nice. Very quiet.
It's for two people. One room, with a double bed. There's a shower and toilet in the hut. It's got a wood burner, which you'll need if it's cold. We include the wood for it. There's a little kitchen area with a two-ring hob, a fridge, and a microwave. WiFi works fine.
You've got your own bit of garden outside with a table and chairs, and a barbecue. Parking is right next to the hut.
Woodhall Spa is about ten minutes away by car. It's a nice village. There's a golf course there, some shops, and a few places to eat. Horncastle is a bit further, maybe fifteen minutes. That's a bit bigger, more antique shops.
You can walk straight out from the hut onto paths. The Lincolnshire Wolds are good for walking or cycling. If you fish, there are a few places locally you can get a day ticket for.
The coast is about 25 miles, so that's a drive for a day at the beach. It's really more of a countryside stay here.
We've got another hut, The Wagtail, on the same field. You can book both if there are four of you. They're spaced apart.
Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
