Lion Gate Lodge
Lion Gate Lodge is just outside Scrivelsby in Lincolnshire. It's a detached cottage originally from the 1790s, but it's been done up recently. It looks out over a deer park, which is nice.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well equipped. It's all on one floor, so no stairs.
The garden goes all around the place. There are two patio areas with furniture and a barbecue. You can often see deer from the garden.
Horncastle is a couple of miles away. It's a proper market town with supermarkets, pubs, and a lot of antique shops. For a day out, Lincoln is about half an hour's drive. The cathedral and castle are worth seeing.
The east coast beaches, like Skegness, are about 40 minutes away by car. If you're interested in aviation, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the Lincolnshire Aviation Centre at East Kirkby are only a 15 minute drive. You can see a Lancaster bomber there.
You can walk or cycle straight from the door into the Wolds. There's on-site parking and an electric vehicle charger. The facilities are all there: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, woodburning stove, and a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets.
