Beech Cottage

Beech Cottage is a detached cottage on the edge of Kirkby on Bain. It's quiet here. The back garden looks out over open fields.

It sleeps six, with three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. The place has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, not grand.

The stairs are fairly standard. Everything's on one level except the bedrooms, which are upstairs.

There's a pub about half a mile away in the village. They do good food. The nearest shop is a few miles away in Woodhall Spa, so you'll want to bring basics or do a drive.

If you're here to walk or cycle, you can start from the door. There are a few nature reserves very close by, good for birdwatching. The Lincolnshire Wolds are right there for longer walks.

Woodhall Spa is about three miles away. It's a nice little place. They've got the Kinema in the Woods, which is a cinema with a proper projection box and an organ. There's an outdoor pool in summer and two golf courses.

The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight visitor centre is also three miles away. You can see the Lancaster bomber and Spitfires there. It's worth a visit.

For the coast, Skegness is about 40 minutes drive. It's a traditional seaside resort with sandy beaches and amusements. Lincoln is about the same drive the other way. Obviously the Cathedral and Castle are the main things there.

The facilities are all there. Wifi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. There's an enclosed garden with a patio and a barbecue. Parking for two cars on the drive. You can bring up to two dogs.
