The Parlour
The Parlour is a converted barn on our farm in Horsington. It's for two people. One bedroom with an ensuite shower room.
It's a 4 Star place, which means it's done up nicely. Underfloor heating, so it's warm underfoot. It's open plan downstairs. The kitchen's at one end, sitting area at the other.
You get a private, enclosed patio area with a table and chairs. It's south facing, so you get the sun. You can bring one dog.
The place is rural. There's a shop about four and a half miles away in Woodhall Spa. The nearest pub is in Thimbleby, about three miles. They do food.
For a day out, Lincoln is about 25 miles west. The cathedral and castle are up on the hill. Skegness is about 20 miles east if you want the seaside.
Locally, Horncastle is known for antique shops. Woodhall Spa has a few more shops and cafes, and the Kinema in the Woods picture house. If you're interested in the RAF history, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is at RAF Coningsby, and there's the Lincolnshire Aviation Centre at East Kirkby.
The Lincolnshire Wolds are right here for walking and cycling. It's good walking country with quiet lanes.
